Manu Center - For whole person wellbeing

About us

Introduction

The Manu Centre is a complementary healthcare centre for whole person well-being. It offers counselling, other healing therapies and meditation.

It is in a beautiful building, set apart from the busyness of ongoing daily life, close to the town overlooking fields.

We are dedicated to complementary health and well-being in the community, alongside traditional healthcare and spiritual provision in the community.

Our ethos

Our ethos is about helping people to help themselves in creating and maintaining their own health and well-being.

History of the Manu Centre

The Manu Centre was founded by Vicki Palmer in September 2004.
She wanted to provide a healing and inspiring space in which people could access a variety of counseling, healing and meditation approaches to suit their own individual needs.
She used her own tools for life directions consultancy to help her create the centre.

Vicki Palmer - founder of the Manu Centre

Vicki has been a counsellor and trainer for over 20years. Prior to that she had studied Medicine and Nursing, which has given her an understanding and respect for traditional western medicine. Its strengths and limitations provoked an interest in exploring alternative healing modalities, many of which predate current medical practice. So in 1998 she also qualified as an aromatherapist.

Having developed a spiritual awareness over many years, she has always been interested in the strong links between mental, physical and spiritual health.

Currnently, as well as her counselling, supervision, training and consultancy practice, she trains new counselling supervisors through a consultancy called Palmoasis. She has a particular interest in counselling in the NHS.
